大家好！Hello everyone! I have created this blog to share my wonderful experiences from my trip to study abroad in Suzhou, China (苏州中国), also spelled as Soochow. Suzhou is approximately a two hour drive from Shanghai, a member of the Jiangsu province (江苏). The city lies on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River (长江), a home to nearly 10 million people. Suzhou is extremely famous for its luscious, unique gardens.
We will be living in the dorms at Suzhou University (苏州大学) planning to take various Chinese courses to fulfill our Chinese minor requirements. Many members from my Chinese class at Northern Arizona University will be traveling with me on July 16th, 2012 for one month to begin our exciting journey. I am extremely anxious to write about the experiences I will have with Chinese culture, customs, and norms. I will share stories about the various places we visit and the many encounters with local people we interact with throughout our time abroad!
